Sarah is an award-winning litigation specialist with over two decades of experience in New Zealand and the UK. Sarah was named 'Disputes Star of the Year' for New Zealand at the Asialaw Asia-Pacific Dispute Resolution Awards 2017, was selected as a finalist in 2018, and is a four-time winner of the New Zealand Litigation Lawyer of the Year award at the ILO Client Choice Awards, for which lawyers can only be nominated by clients (winning in 2019, 2017, 2016 and 2014). She is also recognised as a leading individual by a number of publications, including Chambers and Partners Asia Pacific, Asia Pacific Legal 500 and Best Lawyers International 2018. In 2017, she was also recognised as a finalist in the 'Best in Dispute Resolution' category at the Euromoney Legal Media Group Asia Women in Business Law Awards.
Outside her professional roles, Sarah has served as an elected member of the NZLS Auckland Branch Committee from 2016 to 2018, is a regular contributor to CPD trainings and is a non-executive director of a private investment group focused on telecommunications, technology, utilities and media. Sarah was one of the founding partners of Russell McVeagh’s homework club programme at Glen Taylor school in Glen Innes.
